「鹹蛋黃下的西九藝術二三事2022」由西九文化區管理局主辦、香港青年協會合辦，於2022年8月17日至9月12日期間以西九文化區（西九）的日落景致為主題，透過在社區舉辦藝術裝置及西九相關展覽、表演，以及15項工作坊等超過70個線上線下的活動，盼從西九打開一道隨意門通往社區，讓大眾可近距離認識西九並鼓勵他們到訪，進一步拉近彼此的距離。
West Kowloon Sunset Cultural Portal 2022, co-organised by the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, aims to bring the West Kowloon Cultural District (the District) into the community. With the theme of sharing the magnificent sunset view in the District, over 70 online and onsite programmes, including art installation, exhibitions, performances and 15 types of workshops, will be organised from 17 August to 12 September 2022 to invite members of the public to know more about the District and encourage them to visit the District.

為進一步將西九文化區（西九）帶入社區，2022年8月28日（日）會於灣仔利東街舉行「鹹蛋黃下的西九藝術二三事2022」社區活動日，除了西九相關展覽及社區工作坊外，更有由青年表演者帶來的現場表演，節目包括鋼琴表演聯乘踢踏舞、口琴五重奏、無伴奏合唱、環境舞蹈及樂隊表演﹗同場更有青年設計師從西九日落時的「鹹蛋黃」取得靈感，並結合隨意門的概念為活動設計的藝術裝置，將西九的文化藝術地標及日落美景帶到觀眾眼前，讓更多人認識到西九的獨特之處。
To further bringing the West Kowloon Cultural District (the District) into the community, the Community Event Day of West Kowloon Sunset Cultural Portal 2022 will be launched this Sunday, 28 August 2022 on Lee Tung Avenue, Wan Chai. In addition to an exhibition about the District and community workshops, there will be young talents’ live performances, including piano performance with tap dance, harmonica quintet, a cappella, environmental dance and band show. Furthermore, there will be an art installation designed by a young designer inspired by the sunset view in the District, with a view to building a connecting portal between the District and the community. Visitors are welcome to catch a glimpse of the arts and cultural landmarks and the beautiful sunset in the District through the installation.

戲曲盔頭美觀精緻，款式多樣，更可看出角色的身分和地位。本工作坊會教授用紙製作一頂相刁盔頭，即戲曲中丞相的帽子，讓參加者以有趣的方式認識戲曲的服飾。
Xiqu headdresses are finely designed and crafted. The styles also reflect the social status of the characters wearing them. Make your own life-size paper headdress based on the style worn by official state ministers. You can also learn more about the different designs and materials used in the headdresses and fun facts about Chinese opera costumes.

工作坊由奇華經驗導師帶領，活動中參加者可以製作深受香港人歡迎的傳統中式餅食——月餅，認識傳統文化，同時透過「鹹蛋黃」引發與西九文化區日落及月亮美景的聯想。
The workshop is led by a seasoned tutor from Kee Wah Bakery. You will have a chance to make moon cakes, a traditional Chinese cake which is popular among Hong Kong people. While learning more about the traditional culture, the salted egg yolk in the moon cakes may arouse your imagination of the fabulous views of sunset and moon in the West Kowloon Cultural District.

香夭 x 無伴奏合唱 The Fragrant Death x a cappella
由青年粵劇演員杜詠心及司徒凱誼破格聯乘無伴奏合唱隊，以中西音樂精粹配以電子音樂編曲，再透過全人聲的細緻編排闡釋粵曲經典《香夭》，為你呈獻糅合傳統與現代元素的跨界體驗。
Blending traditional and modern elements, an ambitious EDM rearrangement on the famous Cantonese opera song “The Fragrant Death” in a cappella style is presented by young Cantonese opera actresses Christie To Wing-sum and Szeto Hoi-yee and an a cappella group, with harmonies of purely vocal performance.
在社區中發現西九文化區
為了將西九文化區（西九）帶入社區，西九文化區管理局與香港青年協會合作，在2022年8月17日至9月12日期間舉辦社區藝術活動「鹹蛋黃下的西九藝術二三事2022」。從活動主題到節目內容，工作團隊透過一系列線上及線下活動，以多個角度向大眾介紹西九。活動焦點之一是由青年設計師從西九日落時的「鹹蛋黃」取得靈感，並結合隨意門的概念而設計的藝術裝置，將西九的文化藝術地標及日落美景透過一道道隨意門帶到大眾眼前，讓大眾可以穿梭其中，在社區中遇見西九。此外，創作團隊亦精心打造線上預演節目「光影如歌」及「香夭x無伴奏合唱」，前者由舞者在西九各處舞動及探索，舞出各人心中的西九故事；後者則由青年粵劇演員聯乘無伴奏合唱隊，以中西音樂精粹配以電子音樂編曲，再透過全人聲的細緻編排演繹粵曲經典《香夭》，為觀眾呈獻糅合傳統與現代元素的跨界體驗，團隊再將表演延續至位於灣仔利東街的社區活動日，連接西九及社區。活動更有設計自不同的西九元素的15項線上及線下社區工作坊，當中包括製作紙摺戲曲盔頭及具M+建築特色的擴香石等，為大眾帶來多元的藝術體驗，從社區藝術及建築特色等多個角度認識西九。
活動自推出以來反應熱烈，成功吸引逾萬名參加者，除享受表演及參與工作坊外，不少家長更帶同孩子跟裝置藝術合照「打卡」。為期近一個月的「鹹蛋黃下的西九藝術二三事2022」正式落幕，團隊深信，是次活動令西九及社區之間的連結更加緊密，加深大眾對西九的認識，同時讓青年有更多認識社區藝術的機會，希望將來有機會在西九歡迎大家參與各式各樣的文化藝術活動，豐富社區生活。
Discovering West Kowloon in the Community
To bring the West Kowloon Cultural District (the District) into the community, the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority co-organised with The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups to launch a community art project, namely West Kowloon Sunset Cultural Portal 2022, from 17 August to 12 September 2022. The creative team introduced the District to members of the public from various perspectives through a series of online and onsite programmes featuring different themes and contents. One of the highlights was an art installation designed by a young designer inspiring by the sunset view in the District. The installation was displayed to build a connecting portal between the District and the community. Visitors were welcome to catch a glimpse of the arts and cultural landmarks and the beautiful sunset in the District through the installation. Besides, the team produced pre-event performances ‘Time flows like dancing…’ and ‘The Fragrant Death x a cappella’. The former performance featured dancers performing and exploring in various scenic spots of the District to share their stories. In the latter one, young Cantonese opera actresses and an a cappella group presented an ambitious EDM rearrangement on the famous Cantonese opera song The Fragrant Death in a cappella style with harmonies of purely vocal performance, blending traditional and modern elements. These performances were extended to the Community Event Day on Lee Tung Avenue in Wan Chai to bring West Kowloon into the community. In addition, 15 online and onsite community workshops designed with different elements of the District were conducted, including the making of xiqu paper headdresses and aroma stones with design features of the building of M+. All these programmes aimed to bring comprehensive art experiences to the public and introduce the District through different perspectives.
The project had received an overwhelming response, successfully attracted over 10 000 participants since its launch. Apart from enjoying the performances and taking part in the workshops, many parents brought their children to take photos with the art installation. When the almost month-long West Kowloon Sunset Cultural Portal 2022 officially came to an end, the team believes that the project has strengthened the connection between West Kowloon and the community, enhanced the public’s understanding about the District and enabled young people to learn more about community art. The team will step forward to encourage a wider participation in arts and cultural programmes by the local community in the District, enriching the life in the community.
